Passkey Login

Compekun now supports passkeys, the next generation of login. With a passkey, you can log in using your smartphone's fingerprint, face recognition, or screen unlock (pattern or PIN) instead of a password.

Three benefits of passkeys

  1. Easier login. No need to type your email address or password. Just look at your phone or place your finger on it to log in.
  2. No more passwords. You will never again be locked out on the golf course because you forgot your password.
  3. More secure. Passkeys are highly resistant to unauthorized access and phishing aimed at passwords.

How to get started

  1. Log in. Log in to Compekun the way you do now.
  2. Open the security settings page. Go to Security Settings.
  3. Register a passkey. Press the "Register passkey" button, then verify with your device's fingerprint, face recognition, or screen unlock (pattern or PIN). That's it!

For details, see the Help page.

Guest Entry

You can now enter a tournament without being a registered member. Verify your identity with an email link (one-time link) or Google login, and your account registration and tournament entry are completed at the same time. This lowers the barrier to participation and helps prevent missed entries.

Results and Live Results

Live results for TV and monitors

Live results are now better suited to display on large screens, such as monitors at an awards ceremony or party. Unnecessary elements such as the header and footer are removed, and the design is optimized for legibility from a distance. Related help: Live Results for TV.

  • Multi-column display. Specify how many rows to show vertically, and the results are split into side-by-side columns every that many rows. Use this to fill a wide TV or monitor screen. If you don't specify a number, results are shown in a single column as before.
  • Start from a given rank. You can specify the rank at which the display starts. Use this to split results across several TVs or monitors. For example:
    • TV 1: ranks 1 to 10
    • TV 2: from rank 11

New score detail page

Tap a player's name or score in live results or results to open that player's score detail page. Participants can easily check their own hole-by-hole scores.

Participation status per round

You can now set each player's participation status for each round.

Abbreviation Meaning
DQ Disqualified
WD Withdrawn
NS No show
NC No scorecard submitted
DNF Did not finish
  • Players with a status are removed from the ranking and listed at the end of live results, results, and the leaderboard, together with their status.
  • Group competitions are handled the same way, and the status is reflected in Excel exports.
  • Scores are kept; they are only excluded from the calculation of ranks and totals.

Easier-to-read tables

Tables in the leaderboard, live results, results, and score list now have alternating row colors by player or group, making rows easier to follow. Scores under par (below 0 relative to par) are shown in red.

Share results on your own site

You can now share tournament results more easily and attractively. Choose the tournament format and view you want to display, then copy the embeddable code (HTML) with one click. Paste it into your site and the latest standings are displayed as a Web Component (widget), so organizers, media, and community pages can publish results with little effort. Tournament Formats

New: Scratch Front 9

A no-handicap format in which players compete using only the scores of the front nine holes that each group actually started on. Use it for front-nine-only events or tournaments you want to settle quickly. The results screen hides the HDCP/NET columns and adds highlighting of the counted holes with a legend.

Counted holes are clear when entering scores in half-round tournaments

For "Double Peoria Front 9" and "Scratch Front 9", the half that counts toward the result is shown in color on the score entry form. This works for both individual and bulk editing.

New: 2-Player, 2-Course Team Competition

We added "2-Player, 2-Course Team Competition" as a team format for scratch tournaments. At a venue with two courses (36 holes), each team of four sends two players to each course. Teams are ranked by the total score of all team members, or by the total of the team's best 2 to 4 scores. Related help: Tournament Formats (Group and Multi-Round Totals).

Live Results for All Rounds (Paid Plans)

We added Live Results (All Rounds), which shows a multi-round tournament as a whole. This is a paid-plan feature. The "Live Results (All Rounds)" link appears in the navigation only for tournaments of organizations on a paid plan.

Compekun App (PWA)

There is no need to download anything from an app store. Just use "Add to Home Screen" in your browser and you can start using it right away. Launch it with one tap from your smartphone's home screen to make tournament preparation, score entry on the day, and checking results smoother. Related help: Compekun App.

Account and Other

Improved English interface

The interface switches between Japanese and English automatically based on your browser's language settings. You can also switch manually with the language button in the header or footer. The former English site, en.compekun.com, has been merged into compekun.com, and the old URLs redirect automatically.

Login history

Successful and failed login attempts are now recorded, and the latest 20 can be viewed under Security Settings. This helps you notice logins you don't recognize and keep your account safe.
